Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival – The Chronicles of Dr. Peaches & Miss Pickles

Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival

Skirt steak with chimichurri sauce in Patagonia? Kefta in Morocco? Bobotie in South Africa? Moët & Chandon in Paris? Ravioli in Venice? Beer and brats in Germany? All in one day?

Yes, please!!

Of course, the geography makes this epicurean feat impossible to experience in one day. Unless, that is, you come to Walt Disney World and visit
Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival.

During the festival, you can visit more than 20 countries and sample various foods and wines. You can visit each pavilion and get a stamp in your food passport-even if you don’t sample the food.  Yes, folks, a food passport!!! Isn’t that just yummy!

The best part? The people. At many of the pavilions, you can meet native people, who love to talk about the food and wine of their beloved homelands. For example, the acrobatics performance at the China pavilion are not to be missed! These folks love to talk about their countries and invite you to visit! (I’m gonna need more pages in my passport!) They will teach you their language…can you imagine learning to say “delicious” in more than 20 languages?

Jules Verne needed 80 days to go around the world. I needed two-and I still didn’t make it all the way around! But I’m not discouraged! There’s always next year!?
